![]() ![]() The footage of this 22 year old diving instructor (who should have known better than to scuba dive in one of the most dangerous diving locations on the planet without the proper equipment or with a diving partner) falling to his death on the ocean floor is incredibly scary and heartbreaking. I watched the entire thing, and was simultaneously fascinated and horrified. I thought I'd ask if anybody here knows about this event, or knows what happened? For example, he's seen checking his info on his device (sorry, I don't know the terms) and doesn't really appear to make any sign of distress as I could see, as well as the glaringly obvious he doesn't try to return.Īnother thing is that it's said he's "tangled in the sand" does this mean his apparatus is tangled? Such as the tubes that carry air and the like? I saw one man say the breathing apparatus was pulled from his mouth, and this was the first thing I thought would have happened, but then I thought that he isn't freediving as far as I know, so he would have had goggles or other gear to see, right? So the whole losing his mouth piece doesn't seem to sit well as he could have just looked for it, right? And it's attached to him so it couldn't drift away.I was browsing nature videos on Youtube the other night, and I stumbled on the below video. I was just wondering, as i've seen many, many people say he in fact didn't die, and you can see at the very very end of this clip the camera is being checked by two people, or being used. I put "caution" in the title because as some of you may know, he's said to have died during the dive. So I only just discovered the video of Yuri Lipski.
